ETC 2014 - Round 6 - Tyranids+Necrons vs SW

My last game at ETC 2014 against Greg “Inquisitor Malice” Sparks. We saw each one on the captains forum but it was the first time we get the possibility to shake hands:)

Greg played a popular SW drop pod army with 8 droppods that had an objective secured rule:)

ETC 2014 - Round 6 - USA - Pairings

With 1 loss, 1 draw and 3 wins we had to play the last game with team USA. If we win this game - we take 3-rd place for sure! So, there is something to fight for in this round! It's the first time team Belarus got the possibility to get a prize at ETC:)

At the other hand, team USA consist entirely of a top players, winners of the most famous American tourneys. Let's check our pairings estimation table for team USA:

ETC 2014 - Round 5 - Tyranids+Necrons vs Eldar+DE

My fifth game at ETC 2014 was with Olof Svensson extremely positive sweden Eldar player.

His list is so good that none from our team actully wanted to play with it. A boeing of warlocks with Eldrad has higher probability to get fortune than a normal 2 farseer list. Jetbikes and scoring serpents are a must for any eldar list today:)

ETC 2014 - Round 5 - Sweden - Pairings

Day 3 we started in a good mood. Our opponent for the 5th game was team Sweden. It is a strong team, but this year their composition consist almost form a defensive lists.

Let's look at our pairings estimations table against Sweden:

ETC 2014 - Round 4 - Tyranids+Necrons vs DE+Eldar

The game with team England and Paul Burke was the last game of Day 2 and fourth game at ETC. This pairing was hard for me, so I prepared to save points:)

Sorry to Paul, I forgot to take a photo of him. So, let's look at his list:

HQ 1: Baron (105) - Warlord [105]

Troops 1: 5 Wyches (50) Haywires (10) – Transport 1 [60]
Troops 2: 5 Wyches (50) Haywires (10) – Transport 2 [60]

FA1: 5 Beastmasters (60), 24 Kymera (288) 348pts

Transport 1: venom (55), additional splinter cannon (10) 65pts
Transport 2: venom (55), additional splinter cannon (10) 65pts

ALLIED DETACHMENT:

HQ 1-1: Spiritseer(70), Shard of Anaris - exchanging shuriken pistol (40) [110]
HQ 1-2: Spiritseer (70) [70]
HQ 1-3: Spiritseer (70) [70]
HQ 1-4: Spiritseer (70) [70]
HQ 1-5: Spiritseer (70) [70]

Elites1: 5 Fire Dragons (110) – Transport 1 [110]

Troops 1: 5 dire avengers (65) – Transport 2 [65]
Troops 2: 5 dire avengers (65) – Transport 3 [65]

FA1: 8 Warp Spiders (152) [152]

Transport 1: Wave serpent (115), scatter laser (5) [120]
Transport 2: Wave serpent (115), scatter laser (5) [120]
Transport 3: Wave serpent (115), scatter laser (5) [120]

Here we have 3 serpents to kill flyrants and invisible beaststar to kill immortals and also 5 psychic shreeks to kill Mawlocs. Nasty list for me but anyway I have some tricks to show too.

ETC 2014 - Round 4 - England - Pairings

After two victories and one draw we got 5 points and rised again to the very top of the hill and met team England!

One of the top team, team England. The leftmost guy on the photo is their coach! That is how a real coach must look like - big and bald:)

Let's look at our mostly red pairings estimation table:

ETC 2014 - Round 3 - Tyranids+Necrons vs Farsight+Tau

I got not an easy but interesting pairing for game 3. My opponent is Andy 'Imarco' Horvath from team Denmark.

Andy runs a Farsight+Tau army with two riptides, broadsides in a bastion and a boeing of crisis-drones with a commander. Here is his list:

ETC 2014 - Round 3 - Denmark - Pairings

After 1 win and 1 near win we got 3 points at the start of day 2. We met with team Denmark that had 4 points and, thus, 2 victories already.

Denmark never was an easy opponent so we prepared for an uneasy battle. Let's look at pairings estimation table against Denmark:

ETC 2014 - Round 2 - Tyranids+Necrons vs Iyanden+Tau

Game 2 at ETC 2014 I fought with famous Ukrainian player Fedor "Dajnard" Simonenko.

He tailored smart and effective list (it's Dajnard's ability to create unusual lists that f..ck everything around).

ETC 2014 - Round 2 - Ukraine - Pairings

After game 1 we placed first and got paired with team Ukraine. Due to internal problems in the country they added 2 french and 2 german players into the team, but kept the overall high level.

Our estimations for team Ukraine were rather high and we expected to win...

ETC 2014 - Round 1 - Tyranids+Necrons vs AM+SW+Inq

My first game at ETC 2014 was a good pairing for me against Czech player Jindřich 'UZMN' Čadík.

He played a good AM army powered by SW and Inquisition detachments:

ETC 2014 - My army - Tyranids+Necrons

One day hive mind made an agreement with Necrons. Give us the biomass and take the rest - the sun and the dust. This was the day when the greatest threat for the Imperium was born - a tyranid-necron allied army!

My army list for the ETC 2014:

ETC 2014 - Round 1 - Czech Republic - Pairings

Day 1 starts with a game against team Czech Republic.

It was not easy for me to do pairing with Czech, cause my teammates tried to bribe me to get a pairing with Eva:)

Belarus at ETC 2014 - Intro

This year is my second showoff as a captain of team BELARUS at European Team Championship. The event took place in Novi Sad, Serbia in the same place as in year 2013. We started to prepare to the tourney right after the previous one, but all our plans were ruined with new edition of rules (7th edition came out 2 month before the ETC). We reorganized the team rapidly, generating new army lists but anyways there were still a lot of blind dots in the preparation process. Anyway, let me introduce the TEAM:

Yaroslav "Jarek" Dmitriev - our "heavy" veteran with a solid GK/AM anti-psyker list, ready to deal with any opponent.

Nikolai "Torf" Danilov - one of the most intellectual players of Russia with a solid AM/Inquisition army. The guy with the iron will and poker face:)

Yuri "Warpstone" Anufriev - The bombardier and topscorer of our team, the one who played on the top table in the final of ESC 2013, the winner of the russian 40k league. This year he gave up Necrons for Eldar/DE army with a beaststar.

Eugene "Ewgen" Ranchenko - a new belarusian guy in our team, the follower of Yuri, new Necron player of our team.

Fedor "Fredya" Fomin - our topscorer and the psychologist of our team with a Tau/Farsight bomb.

Gennady "Ghost" Babenko - a Kazakhstan player, who played in our team for years, one of the most universal players I know - he played for almost all the armies in 40k in a tourney environment. Experienced but young and agressive! This time he played Daemons army.

Alexander "Santan" Philippov - one more diamond from the russian 40k community. The one who generates weird lists and stomp opponents into static grass with ease. He generated an agressive CSM/Daemons fast and deadly close combat army.

And the Captain of the term - Alexander "Erle" Ivanov. Yep, It's me. I played Tyranids for years and experimented with different allies after the 7th ed came out. I tried daemons with little success and stopped at Necrons as the secondary detachment, inspired by Yuri's list from ETC 2013.
