Brothers in Arms - 2012. Game 4 - vs Dirg (IG+SW)

We awaited to be paired with Kavabunga team, but judges paired us with team “Anklav” from Saint Pietersburg. Pietersburg teams are very positive overall – players are comfortable, interesting lists and at the same time they are highly competitive!
Let’s look at my pairings estimations for team Anklav:

Orcs - 6
Necrons - 8
DE - 8
IG/SW - 12
CSM/Necrons - 14
Eldar/DE – 12

I cannot remember exactly the pairing process, but I attacket the IG/SW army – the pairing that is a bit better then a draw for me. Captain awaited a solid victory from me, so I prepaired to fight hard. My opponent is Dirg – he is actually is very kind and comfortable player with wide smile – when you play with someone like Dirg you relax, cause the game is absolutely transparent and honest. Nevertheless, his list is not comfortable for my army.

Brothers in Arms - 2012. Game 3 - vs Xellos (Daemons)

After one win and one loss we are somewhere in the middle of the tourney table. We awaited to be paired with some newbies but the reality was different. Our third pairing was ZBS TEAM – a team with Xellos as a captain.
We lost the captains roll off again and Daemon is our first defender for this round. CSM/Daemons army attacks Daemon and opponents put Xellos with chaos daemons army as their first defender. Let’s look at my pairings estimations:

Chaos Daemons (Xellos) - 14
BA - 8
CSM/Chaos Daemons (attacks Daemon) - 16
Necrons - 12
DE - 6
Tau/Eldar – 14

It’s obvious that I attack Xellos with my tyranids:)

Brothers in Arms - 2012. Game 2 - vs Stepan

After a solid victory in the first game our team is paired with another powerful team – Forces of Order. Actually, everybody called this team “Stepan’s team” cause one team member was most famous Russian WAAC player Stepan.
Our captain lost the roll-off and sent Daemon to be the first defender. Aeris attacked Daemon wis his dual-LR list. Stepan stood as the first opponent’s defender. Let’s look at my pairing estimations:

DE - 2
SM (Aeris) - 8
SW - 6
Eldar/DE - 14
Necrons - 14
BA/SW (Stepan) – 16

So, Johnny had an easy job to send me into attack on Stepan.

Brothers in Arms - 2012. Game 1 - vs GK+BA

This post is a little different to others – I wrote it first in Russian and now I’ll try to translate it into English:)

I’m not going to waste your time any more and start with the first round pairings. We play Emperor’s Will at Dawn of War deployment. Our opponent is team “Milleniums of war” – this guys are not newbies and have a strong team composition. My pairing estimations for all opponents was as follows:

Eldar - 6
DE/Eldar - 6
CSM - 16
Tyranids - 12
GK/BA - 12
Tau/SM - 15

Our team captain decides that the best option for my hive-fleet is to attack the GK/BA defender. This pairing is not the best for other team members and quite positive for me. So, my first round opponent is Imper – I found him to be a great guy! Here is his list:

Brothers in Arms - 2012. Introduction

It happens suddenly. You play tyranids and do not wonder that someone is looking at you and the moment comes when you hear “Hey, whant to come to a team tourney with us?” “Oh, hell, yes!”. That happened with me too and as a result I took part in a “Brothers at Arms – 2012” team tourney in Moscow. It was a 1850 pts, 6-man per team, 5 games tourney. 16 teams took part in the event. I participated in a “Minsk & Co” team, that consisted only from Minsk city players:

Johnny – Belarus ETC team captain. He brought a nice new CSM army with 2 dragons:)
Daemon – Belarus ETC team first defender. He took a IG+SW army.
Bloodroad – Belarus ETC team semi-defender. Initially Paul agreed to go with or team, but he experienced some problems for the tourney date so with changed him with Bloodroad. He took Paul’s SW+GK army.
Yaroslav – Belarus ETC team attacker with a powerful DE+Eldar army.
F9SSS – first new face. He started to collect Daemons this year and is very successful so he was invited to take part in the event.
Erle – I’m the second new face to the Belarus 40k team. I took the position of Attacker for platoon IG and the like.

My list is as follows:

Collecting tyranids in 6th. Part 4 - Hoppy-Droppy (Gribbie-killy)

It’s definitely the 6-edition, the time when we can fully realize out drop-nidz ideas!
Hoppy-Droppy is my favourite list, cause it’s fun to play! Of course, there can be different approaches to building a drop list, but here is my variants.

One of my favorite units in 6-ed is Dakagaunts! For a mere price of 170 points you receive a spore with 13 gribbles who shoot out 39 S4 + 6 S6 shots a round! It’s sometimes enough to wreck a transport and kill the filling stuff.
